According to the News, the Williamsville, New York Village Board voted to fire Damon & Morey, LLP after discovering that the law firm was also representing former Village Administrator Sally Kuzon in her high profile breach of contract law suit against the Village, while at the same time representing the Village on most other legal matters!

Most lawyer misconduct is not prosecuted

LAWYERS “CIRCLE THE WAGONS”

A recent study conducted in New York State concluded that, “most lawyer misconduct is not prosecuted - … only 2 percent of lawyers who violate accepted norms are processed, and less than 1 percent of these cases are officially sanctioned.”

Does Damon & Morey know that there is no legal recourse against the truth?

Over 8 months ago, managing partner Peter S. Marlette said "Damon & Morey is now exploring its legal options, but has not decided what action to take [against Elia]."

With over 90 years of experience, 84 attorneys, 19 paralegals and 93 support staff, do you think that Damon & Morey is still mulling this over or has it implicitly admitted that Elia's allegations of serious misconduct are true?

If lies were damaging your valuable reputation, what would you do?
