Founded in 1982, D.A. Elia Construction Corp. (Elia) is
currently an inactive public works contractor whose operations
once extended across New York State.
In the early 1990’s the company became
involved in several disputes of significant magnitude. The
disputes evolved into litigation that adversely affected
the company’s business operations. Based on representations
made by Damon & Morey’s Business Litigation and
Insolvency Group, Elia decided to file a petition for Chapter
11 reorganization on March 30, 1994 in order to speed the
litigation process.
